The Super Cub Aircraft is unexcelled as a low-level hand-held camera platform. The Cub can safely maintain altitude on half it’s available power allowing for quiet loitering over targets for long periods at a fraction of helicopter rates.

Offshore sailboat – Ensanada race circa 1978.

 The Super Cub aircraft is an excellent photo chase aircraft for offshore boating and off road car races. The aircraft can be refueled on “auto gas” and is capable of landing on roads and dirt airstrips. The low noise level is a plus when long standby delays are required.

Super Cub drops over the rim of the Grand Canyon above Lava Falls.

Art Vitarelli is a former commercial river guide, has led or participated in over 20 Grand Canyon River trips including trips with the National Park Service. Art Vitarelli has produced 3 television documentaries pertaining to the Grand Canyon and is familiar with flight restrictions photo locations and best lighting conditions as well as available Grand Canyon landing strips.

Rock and Sand Sizing Machine

This rock and sand sizing machine was shot from 500 feet using a hand held 2¼ Mamiya camera from the rear seat of the Super Cub.

Twenty five percent of the negative was used for this blow-up.

The tandem seating and fold down door of the aircraft allow simultaneous still photography from the front and rear seats.
